Statement of Intent

The aim of this site is to explore in depth some of the subjects that are widely covered on the web and on television and that are generally labelled "mysteries".

Our intention, however, is to do so in a different way, because in our view this kind of subject is often not explored thoroughly enough, with the risk of missing its true meaning and importance.

Our research began as curiosity, a desire to discover new ways of seeing things. We visited places and searched for books and information about sites and historical figures that intrigued us. Over time we realised that what we had been taught at school often did not match what we were discovering; in fact it was often in sharp contrast with it, and sometimes distorted. But we also realised that some subjects are sometimes presented inaccurately or superficially even by those who deal with them professionally or out of passion. By this we do not in any way claim to hold the true knowledge; we simply believe it is essential to provide information that is as thorough as possible and to apply a scientific method of study to the interpretation of symbolism and historical events. We are convinced that this is the only way to give due weight to subjects that lie at the very foundation of our culture and of our existence.

We will try to be as thorough as possible and will always provide bibliographical references, not only as evidence for what we present but also to give those who wish to share this experience the opportunity to explore further.
